Here is a summary description of how I carried out a colour-light healing on a local client called Rebecca. The colour-light method I use involves using the Chinese Medicine Meridian system, energy 'testing' and a crystal colour-light torch. I have the use of 2 colour light torches, one from the Canadian Lumalight system, and one from the wonderful Australian Renascent system.
The one I used for Rebecca was the Renascent Crystal torch, see image (to follow).
The aim of a colour-light treatment is to bring the client into complete balance so any physical or emotional disharmony is eased and the client is brought back to a state of health and well-being.
The first thing to do is to test the energy meridians to see which ones are out of balance. We do this using Chinese 5 Element Theory.
You can use classical Kinesiology / Muscle Testing for this, if you know how as it is very effective. The method I use is slightly different, as I prefer it because you can also use it to test yourself.
Start by asking the client to put their left hand on their chest/ heart chakra and their right on their naval /solar-plexus chakra and take 3 calming breaths in and out. That hand position is called balance.
We are now going to test each element. We start with Red which governs the Fire Element and Joy and 4 meridians. We will test the Fire Element as a whole to begin with. Ask the client to put their right hand down by their side, and taking the left arm, stretch it to full length in front of the body with the hand at right angles, palm facing their face, as if they were blocking out the sun at arm's distance. Then say the word Fire and Joy and ask them to move their hand slowly towards their face, whilst gently repeating the word Fire, until they reach a position where the hand doesn't want to come any further forward and it wants to make a natural stop. (This is often half-way between the arm being fully outstretched and the face itself, though sometimes they are able to bring it all the way to the face).Make a quick note/diagram on a piece of paper to show how far they were able to bring it. This position determines whether the Fire Element is out of balance. If they are able to bring their hand all the way to their face, without feeling like they want to stop, then the Fire Element is in balance. The further away the hand stops from the face, the more the element is out of balance, and the more treatment/red ray it needs.
The Fire Element rules the Small Intestine Meridian, the Triple Warmer Meridian (or San Jiao), the Heart Meridian and the Pericardium Meridian. All of these Meridians will show different emotions when they are out of balance. See our next post for a link on which emotions relate to which meridians.
We are now going to test the Small Intestine Meridian which has its testing point on the edge of the hand just below the knuckle of the little finger. We ask the client to stretch out the left hand, and hold this knuckle point gently with their right forefinger and say: Small Intestine/ Worry as we bring it towards themselves and see where it wishes to stop. We make a note of this on our diagram. We then do the same for the Triple Warmer Meridian who's point is in the ridge between the little finger and fourth finger. Her hand is brought towards her face whilst touching the Triple Warmer point gently with the forefinger of the right hand. Again we mark on our diagram how far it will go. This is so we have a record to measure our progress with between treatments. The same is done for the Heart point - on little finger to the left of the nail, and the Pericardium point on 3rd finger tip.
When all have been tested, we have a record of how much resistance there is for each strand of the fire element. We know it needs balancing (as none of them went freely as far as her face).
We then take the crystal-light torch, insert the red disc and treat each Meridian with a few seconds of red light on the previously mentioned points, as well as a little further along each meridian line in some cases to give an extra amount of light.
When treating we hold the light just a few centimetres above the skin, not right on it and visualise the energy beaming through the skin itself. It is a very calming treatment and totally pain-free.
We then put the torch away and once again, use the above arm-length procedure to test the Fire Element in general. If the light has done the trick, the client will be able to bring the arm/hand test right in towards her face (and beyond in her imagination) with no resistance, which shows that the Meridian has been balanced.
We then proceed to test and treat the other 4 elements and their organs/emotions in the same way.
